TummyCare Max® can be
used as a stand alone product, or with any proton pump inhibitor (PPI)
of your choice.
You can use TummyCare Max® by itself without a PPI because they have a unique blend of buffers and
flavors that can help to neutralize the acid in the tummy of your
little one. They act as a buffer much like any antacid. The flavors make
those buffers, that are normally very bitter, taste yummy and your baby
will love them!
Let's get down to the important facts about our products:
- They make any PPI into an immediate release formulation. No more timing around feedings!
- MSPI and FPIES safe! You can read a list of our ingredients here.
- Calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide are the primary buffers and sodium bicarbonate is the secondary buffer. That means less gas and discomfort associated with gas.
- One packet provides your baby with 7 to 14 days of reflux treatment. (depending on dosing regimen).
- Can be used independently without adding any PPI's, as a highly effective buffer or antacid.
- Cost of product with cost of PPI included is under $2 dollars a day!
- Stimulates the parietal cell proton pumps so that maximal pumps can be inhibited. Pumps must be active before they can be shut down.
- Stable for 6 to 8 weeks AND is highly palatable. It tastes great!
It’s impossible to get a baby or in some cases, a young child to take a pill or tablet and if you are using a powder form of PPI (proton pump inhibitor) the taste is so horrible that most babies won’t get near it even if it is mixed with formula. That’s why our products have been designed to be so useful. TummyCare Max® not only make your PPI suspension taste great but they also assist in buffering the acid produced in your babies belly.
Here’s some more information about our products, PPI’s, and how they work together.
PPI drugs can only work when the proton pumps are pumping H+ (hydrogen ion) or in simpler terms, when they are active. So unless the proton pumps are active the proton pump inhibitors will not have any effect. (PPI's can only block actively secreting proton pumps) The blend of non-acidic flavors and buffers in TummyCare Max® help stimulate the maximum number of proton pumps to become active (turn on) which allows the proton pump inhibitor to take action. They block the active pumps. That is part of the process that make TummyCare Max® work as well as it does. The non-acidic flavorings and sweeteners in our products also mask the bitter taste of any PPI medications and make them taste great. TummyCare Max® works as a buffer with any proton pump inhibitor medication. Whether they are over the counter (OTC) or prescription (RX). Once you decide which product best fits your baby's needs, you simply blend your PPI with our product of your choice. You can do it at home yourself in accordance to your baby's age and weight, and as indicated on the PPI information page along with the PPI dosing chart provided here. Or you can have your local compound pharmacy do it for you.
A NOTE ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS: On the PPI dosing information page you will also see the "Titrating Up" or weaning up instructions. This will assist in gradually implementing the PPI of your choice with ease and comfort to your baby or child.
By compounding a PPI with our products you will get the effects of an immediate release proton pump inhibitor rather than having a delayed release proton pump inhibitor that can take up to one hour or more to become effective. In addition, you can give your baby the PPI dose anytime. No more timing around feedings. Does not require the you to administer the PPI on an empty stomach then
wait 30 minutes to 1 hr before feeding your baby. You all
know how impossible it is to give the baby the dose of PPI then wait 45
minutes to give the baby their bottle first thing in the morning as they
are screaming for a feeding.
Also the difference between using a pharmacy compound or competing brands of suspensions and TummyCare Max® is we don't rely solely on sodium bicarbonate as a buffer. We use other buffers such as calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide are the primary buffers in TummyCare Max®. They neutralize stomach acid. The secondary buffer is sodium bicarbonate but in a much smaller amount than is typically compounded in PPI solutions made by compound pharmacies or the competition. Why is that meaningful? Because it will not produce an abundance of gas which can cause a tremendous amount of discomfort to a little baby or young child. Those buffers along with our perfect blend of flavors and your baby will LOVE the taste and treating you child’s GERD will seem just like another feeding.
Basic Details About Our Products
TummyCare Max® assists in administering the proper dosage of any proton pump inhibitor to your little one with acid reflux. They contain no active ingredients (drugs), only flavors, sweeteners, thickeners and buffer to make the PPI of your choice more palatable and to protect and enhance the rate of absorption of the PPI. We call this mixture a flavored suspension that you can give to your child independent of mealtime.

TummyCare Max® ingredients are publicized here on the site so you know what you're giving your baby. It is gluten free, milk free, corn protein free, are not tested on animals and none of our products contain any milk, lactose, soy protein or any protein of any kind and are MSPI and FPIES safe.
We went through great lengths to research ingredients that were safe for your baby. That is our number one priority!
An added benefit is most infant acid treatment suspensions are stable for only five days where as our products remains stable for up to eight weeks after mixing.
If you have never used TummyCare Max® you will need to include a starter kit with your first order. It has everything you need to compound the product, administer the product and store the product and two packets, five packet or ten packet of product, depending on the starter kit you decide to purchase.
Each packet, mixed with the PPI drug of your choice, can provide you with seven to fourteen days of infant acid reflux treatment. Depending on the dose needed for your child.
The time it takes for you to see results varies depending on what symptoms your child has, the severity at which they are having symptoms and how long they have been having them (duration). But generally you should see improvement in five to seven days. In some cases you may see results right away. Purchasing a pH testing kit will assist you in monitoring your child's progress and acid levels.

TummyCare Max® comes in a one part, easy to use delivery system. All you need to do is add your PPI.
One packet of our product gives you approximately seven to fourteen days of use depending on the dosing regimen. TummyCare Max® is stable (and can be used) up to 8 weeks after mixing. Separation can occur but if it does, simply shake up the mixture before each use (as with any suspension) and it is ready to use.
